About our school

Soft Altitude Arts is an Ottawa-based art school that seeks to elevate and inspire young artists as they learn about, experiment, and create artworks  using a variety of mediums.

Founded by Oana Stefanescu, a certified teacher, artist, author, and mother, the school aims to help young artists build on their passion for, and interest in  the world of visual arts.

Using proven teaching methods and a positive, hands-on approach, we offer a selection of courses and workshops designed to reach artists of diverse knowledge and skill levels.

About the instructor

Oana Stefanescu is a local artist and Ontario certified teacher who has over 10 years experience teaching for  the OCDSB. She holds bachelor degrees in Literature, Art History and Theory, and in Education. 

Oana has experience teaching many different subjects to students of all ages and abilities, and she is most passionate about teaching the arts. Oana loves teaching, creating all types of arts, writing and all things that rely on creative expression and passionate inspiration.

Oana Stefanescu is also a published author, her first book the stars within us: high frequency spiritual poetry is available at all major book retailers. She is multilingual and can teach in English, French, and Romanian.

Oana is a proud mom of two.
